    Abstract

Abstract In recent years, the demand for qualitative improvements in seniors centers has grown. However, few studies have been conducted in this area. In particular, given that the color environments of seniors centers are closely related to psychological factors that affect senior citizens, careful plans for color enhancement are required. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the color environments in seniors centers, with the goal of utilizing the results as foundational data for the future color planning of seniors centers. The scope of this study was limited to seniors centers in Korea, which has rapidly become an aging society; as the analysis method, a seniors center was visited to perform a color survey of the main colors, sub-colors, and emphasis colors of floors, walls, and furniture by area ratio. A spectroscopic colorimeter was used to analyze environmental colors in seniors center, and the color environments were compared and analyzed based on the extracted colors. This study can be utilized in the future as foundational data for the color planning of seniors centers.
